Just a glance tells you that this is an oasis and refuge. This is the Terry Duffy Home. It lies in a ½-acre compound, and presently houses 10 children + 3 widow mothers, some of which are HIV-infected. The residents are provided with a much better standard of living, education and medical support, than otherwise possible. Alvin Waluube, He Intends Victory representative, is in charge of the home, Alvin is multilingual and multitalented: he does HIV education to the youth in schools, leads children’s care ministries, does deep rural medical outreach, support groups for widows, micro economics projects, etc.. The home is named in memory of former 'He Intends Victory' board member, Terry Duffy. The home was purchased, renovated, and furnished with support from He Intends Victory-USA and Warren Duffy, Terry's husband. |
