INTERCESSORS
Receive and pass along
COS
family prayer requests; Provide a network of prayer and faithful prayer
warriors
CHRISTIAN
EDUCATION TEAM
Review and select Sunday
School and Children's Church curricula; Provide support, resources, and
accountability for teachers, teachers'
aides, and teacher-trainees; Seek volunteers to staff COS
Christian Education ministries
ALTAR
GUILD
Prepare
our building for Sunday worship, Christian Education, Information, and
Nursery ministries;
Set up for scheduled special
services; Break down and put away all components after these
services
WORSHIP TEAM
Work
with the Pastor to plan and provide performed and pro-recorded music for
Sunday morning services and scheduled special services; Programs and operates COS audio-visual equipment
OUTREACH TEAM
Schedules,
plans and facilitates evangelism strategies and outreach events in the
community
HOSPITALITY TEAM
Greet
visitors; Assemble and distribute COS Visitor Packets; Maintain and update
COS Guest Book; Contact regular
attendees
who miss three consecutive Sunday services; Serve as Ushers
SERVICE CORPS
Help
to meet specific short-term needs of members, attendees, and friends of
COS
as situations arise
ORDINANCE TEAM
Oversees and arranges for the preparation and ministration of the
sacraments of the Lord's Supper
(on the last Sunday of each month PLUS the Christmas Eve service and the Maundy Thursday
Three-Fold Communion service) and Believer's Baptism (once annually)
PUBLICATIONS TEAM
Maintains,
updates and distributes COS Directory; Solicits articles for, edits,
publishes and distributes COSmopolitan; Maintains
and updates COS website; Maintains COS calendar; Designs,
prints and distributes flyers and posters for COS Special Events
YOUTH MINISTRY TEAM
Works
with the COS Youth Pastor to provide support, resources and accountability
for the
COS
Senior High School
and
Junior High School ministries and activities
SPECIAL EVENTS TEAM
Plans, schedules and facilitates a variety
of special activities and events for the
COS
family designed
to provide
opportunities for fellowship, celebration, and sharing. Examples:
Annual Anniversary
Banquet, All-Church Picnic; Special Receptions
MISSIONS TEAM
Supports
and communicates with missions and missionary families supported by COS;
Reviews and
makes
recommendations for new missions seeking support; Plans, schedules,
and facilitates bi-annual
COS
Missions Conference; Facilitates and supports short-term Missions
Trips
